IRC Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support (BCLS)

On completion of the course, the students will be able to:

• Describe the Links in the IRCF CORE LINKS: Understand and explain the key components and importance of the IRCF core links in Cardiac Arrest
• Recognize Cardiac Arrest: Identify the signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest in various scenarios
• Provide Effective Chest Compressions: Perform high-quality chest compressions with proper technique for optimal outcomes
• Provide Rescue Breaths: Deliver rescue breaths effectively using barrier devices and Ambu bags
• Perform CPR for Adults, Children, and Infants: Administer CPR tailored to adults, children, and infants according to current guidelines
• Manage Choking Victims: Respond to choking emergencies in adults, children, and infants using appropriate techniques
• Place Patients in the Recovery Position: Safely position patients in the recovery position to maintain airway patency
• Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED): Operate an AED correctly and safely during a cardiac emergency
